    Mindtree partners with IISc for AI research

    Mid-tier IT services firm Mindtree has partnered with Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc) to support research in artificial intelligence.

    The company said in a press release that it has created an endowment focused on AI research with the IISc and the partnership would facilitate teaching and research for AI in both Data Sciences and Natural Language Processing.

    Named as Mindtree Associate Professor Chair on Artificial Intelligence, the endowment fund is designed to attract dynamic faculty doing groundbreaking AI research with both technical scholars and domain experts and the inaugural Mindtree Associate Professor Chair has been awarded to Vijay Natarajan, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Automation. He has 12 years of experience in the relevant field and of 12 and works in the areas of scientific visualization, computational topology, and computational geometry.
